Hello and thank you for join me on a really exciting Blog Hop. Mountain Plains Crafters and ADORNit have teamed up to show you some exciting new products and what you can do with them. We have so many wonderful projects to show you.
This adorable card I made was created using ADORNit's "Art Play"
Paintables. Special paper, like watercolor paper, with pre-printed images on it for you to color in using whatever medium you desire. With my image, I used water color pencils. There was enough space at the top that it left enough room for me to add a name. So that's just what I did and it fits PERFECT!! There are so many images printed on these 12x12 pages, you'll have something to last you forever.
For this project, we were given wood pieces to create with called
Shaped Surfaces. We were also given sheets of 12x12 papers with printed phrases of ALL kinds called
Prints. But this is one of my favorites. I mean what crafter wouldn't agree? I painted the wood piece with blue to match the blue in "my" and "room" and Mod Podged a doily that was my husband's when he was in the hospital for his cancer surgery (They were under his food cups). Then I also used the adorable fabrics we were given and stitched up some really cute and easy flowers to add with my other embellishments.
This was a very quick and easy project to make. I took my bottle cap heart and cut out some ADORNit
Blender Paper that matched the colors in my picture. I made the little flowers out of the yellow ADORNit fabric and the bow out of some ADORNit fabric as well.
This is my absolute favorite project. I saw something similar like this at Pier1 and fell in love with it, so you can imagine my delight when I saw this in my
Print package. So I made a trip to the home improvement store and picked up 9 large paint stir sticks, 2 small paint stir sticks, a couple of packages of eye hooks, and a piece of scrap moulding. I cut all the rules into strips and Mod Podged them onto my cut and sanded stir sticks. I used the small sticks as a frame in back. Add little jute to hang it up with and a lovely bow made from ADORNit's adorable fabrics.
Well that's it. Thanks for stopping by. I hope I have inspired a lot of you to get out and get creating!!
