About Me

My photo
I am a stay-at-home mom. I have been married to my handsome and wonderful husband for over 14 years. Right now he's battling stomach/esophagus cancer. So I do my best to craft when I can. I have two wonderful boys. My oldest, Garett, is 24 and served 5 years in the Navy. He's been home since the beginning of the year (2014). We are very proud of him. My youngest, "DJ", is 13 and in the 8th grade. I have two Border Collie mix dogs (Koda and Rugu), one Calico cat (Hydie), one orange Tabby cat (Bosley), one Tea Cup Chihuahua (Gigi...I LOVE her sooo much), a Chiweinnie (Lily....sweetest dog ever), and a Jack Russell/Chihuahua (Connor....AAALL boy).

Always By Your Side

Friends With Flair...It's FRIDAY again...woohoo!!

I have always loved horses growing up. But living in an apartment made it hard to get a pony for Christmas. When I saw this stamp by Phyllis Harris I just HAD to have it. And I got to color it in with my new set of Prismacolor Colored pencils.

Let Beauty Surround You

HAPPY FRIDAY....it's a BEAUTIFUL day in Colorado!

I'm posting this card because I had to have my hand at blending with colored pencils and the best teacher that I went by was Danielle Daws and her Unity TV video. Thank you Danielle!!

So here is MY card :)

Stamps used were from the Stamp of the Week set...Let Beauty Surround You.

Ink was Staz-On (Blazing Red) and Memento (Tuxedo Black)

Colored with Prismacolor Colored Pencils.

With Sympathy

FWF....

Happy Friday!!!

This card was made for the staff and children at Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut.  It made me feel good to do something like this and to let them know that someone across the states took time to create a heartfelt card.

There are also 26 birds to represent each of the victims killed.  It breaks my heart every time I think of this sad day.

Stamps used are from the With Sympathy set and Insightful Meadows.
Paper was from a loose stash I had laying around, so I can't remember.

Ink is from Staz-On (Blazing Red) and Memento (Tuxedo Black)

Ribbon is Offray Organza White that I dyed using the Staz-On Blazing Red.

Thanks for looking.
