About Me

My photo
I am a stay-at-home mom. I have been married to my handsome and wonderful husband for over 14 years. Right now he's battling stomach/esophagus cancer. So I do my best to craft when I can. I have two wonderful boys. My oldest, Garett, is 24 and served 5 years in the Navy. He's been home since the beginning of the year (2014). We are very proud of him. My youngest, "DJ", is 13 and in the 8th grade. I have two Border Collie mix dogs (Koda and Rugu), one Calico cat (Hydie), one orange Tabby cat (Bosley), one Tea Cup Chihuahua (Gigi...I LOVE her sooo much), a Chiweinnie (Lily....sweetest dog ever), and a Jack Russell/Chihuahua (Connor....AAALL boy).

My Growing In Unity Projects Day 5 (Leave comment for a free stamp kit*)

Now THIS project was fun to do.  I stamped the heart images on to Shrinky Dink frosted plastic and colored in the areas I wanted color. I used colored pencils and Sakura Gelly Roll pens...including the Stardust pens to add glitter. Then I cut them out as close as I could, punched a hole, and then used my heat gun to shrink them.  I added jump rings, fish-hook earring posts, and VOILA! Cute earrings!

*During my week of Growing With Unity, I have been presenting a project each day for the last 5 days (August 8th thru the 12th). Today is the last day, so make sure you leave one comment after each project (and follow my blog so you can come back each day) because The Unity Stamp Company has graciously allowed ONE winner from all my posts to win a Unity Kit. So make sure you come back each day to check out my projects and leave a comment.  Good luck and ENJOY!

  1. Wow!!! Gorgeous!! Love them. Never would have thought to use gelly rolls On shrink plastic! Turned out so well. Going to try them instead of just using copics! Live the glitter effect!

  5. Those are adorable! What a cute idea. I haven't played with the shrinky dinks yet. I keep forgetting about them until I see a project with them used in it.
