The Great Horned Owl
Hooting in the Tree
This is a card I made last night. A friend of mine and I set challenges for each other every now and then and last night the card was to be a Nature themed clean and simple. There is a Great Horned Owl that frequents a HUGE tree in a neighbors yard but usually after dark...so I dedicate this card to the Great Horned Owl that I heard hooting in the tree around 7:30 last night. I was so excited because it was still daylight out so I ran to my window to have a look. Unfortunately, the only thing I spotted was it's tail feathers moving as it hooted. However, there were scores of Robins standing around "yelling" at the owl. Obviously protecting their nests. When the owl flew away (large wing span I might add), the Robins attacked aggressively as it continued to fly away. Someday I will get a good picture of it...
