About Me

My photo
I am a stay-at-home mom. I have been married to my handsome and wonderful husband for over 14 years. Right now he's battling stomach/esophagus cancer. So I do my best to craft when I can. I have two wonderful boys. My oldest, Garett, is 24 and served 5 years in the Navy. He's been home since the beginning of the year (2014). We are very proud of him. My youngest, "DJ", is 13 and in the 8th grade. I have two Border Collie mix dogs (Koda and Rugu), one Calico cat (Hydie), one orange Tabby cat (Bosley), one Tea Cup Chihuahua (Gigi...I LOVE her sooo much), a Chiweinnie (Lily....sweetest dog ever), and a Jack Russell/Chihuahua (Connor....AAALL boy).

Asian Friends

Asian Friends with Flair

Happy Friday! This weekend I get to dig through the garage and sort all my crafting items again that have been packed in boxes for over 4 years.  Most of it is going to get ready to be sold in a garage sale.  I just don't have room for all my stuff :(

Anyway...here is my card I made.

This was another challenge between me and my friend, Nicole.  The theme was Asian.  The set I used is Unity's Kokeshi Cuties.  The background was embossed with Cuttlebugs Asian embossing folder set.  The card was cut using Sizzix's Scallop Lace Circle Die.  And the images were colored in using water color paints.  The fan I used Shimmer Gel Pens.  I LOVE those pens.

Since Nicole is Vietnamese, I decided to do the card in yellow and red since that is the color of their flag.  I also placed a gold star on her clothing.

Thanks for looking :)
