About Me

My photo
I am a stay-at-home mom. I have been married to my handsome and wonderful husband for over 14 years. Right now he's battling stomach/esophagus cancer. So I do my best to craft when I can. I have two wonderful boys. My oldest, Garett, is 24 and served 5 years in the Navy. He's been home since the beginning of the year (2014). We are very proud of him. My youngest, "DJ", is 13 and in the 8th grade. I have two Border Collie mix dogs (Koda and Rugu), one Calico cat (Hydie), one orange Tabby cat (Bosley), one Tea Cup Chihuahua (Gigi...I LOVE her sooo much), a Chiweinnie (Lily....sweetest dog ever), and a Jack Russell/Chihuahua (Connor....AAALL boy).

Sweetest Friend

Happy Friday!

Today I am posting two cards.  One of them I made isn't using any stamps but I wanted to share it along with my Unity card.

Here is my first card...

I always like to have cards for friends on hand...just in case.

Stamp used: Unity April 2013 KOM.

Dies:  Spellbinders (Frame), Sizzix (branch), Memory Box (Butterflies), Pearl Pen.

The next card is one that I made which was a challenge that a friend of mine and I made to each other.  The challenge was to color in a house.  So my igloo was colored in using Tim Holtz's distress markers (Broken China).  The trees were colored in using regular water color paint.  I'm going to send this card to my son since he loves penguins and pandas.  Right now, he's over near Iraq.  I just can't wait till he comes home.  I miss him so much.

The dies used were:  Penguins (Memory Box), Igloo (Savvy Dies), Trees and Icicles (Cottage Cutz), Embossing (Darice Embossing Folder)
