About Me

My photo
I am a stay-at-home mom. I have been married to my handsome and wonderful husband for over 14 years. Right now he's battling stomach/esophagus cancer. So I do my best to craft when I can. I have two wonderful boys. My oldest, Garett, is 24 and served 5 years in the Navy. He's been home since the beginning of the year (2014). We are very proud of him. My youngest, "DJ", is 13 and in the 8th grade. I have two Border Collie mix dogs (Koda and Rugu), one Calico cat (Hydie), one orange Tabby cat (Bosley), one Tea Cup Chihuahua (Gigi...I LOVE her sooo much), a Chiweinnie (Lily....sweetest dog ever), and a Jack Russell/Chihuahua (Connor....AAALL boy).

Growing in Unity - Day 2

Ok....I forgot to mention in yesterday's blog that the theme I am going with all this week is Christmas.  Christmas in July.

I love to make cards with glitter, rhinestone, and sequins.  Anything that shimmers.  So I knew that with this ornament, from the October 2013 KOM, I would have to use my glitter Zing Embossing powder. Topped with matching bows and a cute tag on top...this is sure to brighten someone's holiday card wall.

Thanks for stopping by.  And don't forget to leave comments on my blog every day this week for your chance to win two Itty Bitty's of your choice.  Make sure you follow me so you can get back here easier.  Have a great Tuesday.

  2. OK it's official, the Oct 2013 KOTM is the next back kit I am ordering. I have been eyeing it for a while now and this convinces me I need it! So I can steal your idea here LOL! Seriously, this is so cute, I love the coordinating bows on the ornaments. Awesome card!

  5. This is so pretty! I've been into embossing more lately...I always avoided it because I tend to make a mess, but you've sparked me even more to get busy. Happy Christmas in July, Sheryl! I'm playing catch up since I wasn't able to visit on Mon & Tue! Have a happy day.

  11. Yay for Christmas in July! As hot as it is today, I love being able to dream about cold weather and hot cocoa! Of course, by Christmas, I'll be dreaming of warm weather and sunshine! Haha!

I love your card! I'm a glitter and bling girl too...the more the merrier! The ornaments are adorable and I love the vellum tag...it gives the card that something extra!
