About Me

My photo
I am a stay-at-home mom. I have been married to my handsome and wonderful husband for over 14 years. Right now he's battling stomach/esophagus cancer. So I do my best to craft when I can. I have two wonderful boys. My oldest, Garett, is 24 and served 5 years in the Navy. He's been home since the beginning of the year (2014). We are very proud of him. My youngest, "DJ", is 13 and in the 8th grade. I have two Border Collie mix dogs (Koda and Rugu), one Calico cat (Hydie), one orange Tabby cat (Bosley), one Tea Cup Chihuahua (Gigi...I LOVE her sooo much), a Chiweinnie (Lily....sweetest dog ever), and a Jack Russell/Chihuahua (Connor....AAALL boy).

Tags, Glorious Tags!

I can't believe that it's NOVEMBER already!  My new years resolution is to get out each day and enjoy whatever is around me.  This world is flashing by so fast that it seems every day is Christmas.  Not in the way of getting gifts...but it seems like every time you blink...Christmas is here again.

And can you believe that there is still a box of Christmas decoration still sitting in my living room from last year?  Yes, we have been too lazy to take it down to the crawl space. LOL.  But it seems just like yesterday that I took the decorations down.  Now I see why people just leave their lights up (or they did when I was a kid).  I used to wonder why some people never took them down.  Maybe that's why?  LOL.  I don't know.

Anyway...here are a couple of tags/ornaments I made the other day.  When Angela said she wanted to see some Tags, Glorious Tags (TGT) samples...I quickly jumped on it.

I decided to use my new Everything Christmas set...along with the coordinating wooden tags and incorporate TGT.

The first one I white washed the front and back.  Next I embossed one of the TGT images with Zing Red Glitter embossing powder.  I kinda went over it with Christmas Red Stickles to "seal" in the embossing powder.  Then I glued the pearl trim around the edges.  I started out using Glossy Accents but SHOULD HAVE used a hot glue gun.  The Glossy Accents absorbed into the edges so I had to seal the edges first then use the glue.  Once that dried, I filled in the little gaps with green Stickles.  Then I just strung a white organza ribbon in and BOOM!!!  The next one I used the snowflakes from the TGT and embossed it with Versamark watermark pad and used my silver/clear embossing powder.  Then I stamped the matching stamp frame with green and embossed it with green embossing powder.  I roughed it up a bit to make it look vintage country-like.  I stamped the sentiment with Blazing Red StazOn.  Looped in some Jute twine and TA DA!!  These were EASY and fun to make.

Thanks for looking....have a great weekend.
