I couldn't wait to use this stamp in a GREAT way....
And here it is:
The stamps used were Unity's "Freezin' My Snowballs" and "One of a Kind Winter".
My inspiration for the fireplace with the kitty cats came from the AWESOME Kittie Caracciolo.

Gosh I sure miss being a kid!!!
Anyway...here is my card colored in using Copic Markers. The border is a Memory Box Frostyville die cut and the frame is a Labels 8 Spellbinders.

Tags, Glorious Tags!
I can't believe that it's NOVEMBER already! My new years resolution is to get out each day and enjoy whatever is around me. This world is flashing by so fast that it seems every day is Christmas. Not in the way of getting gifts...but it seems like every time you blink...Christmas is here again.
And can you believe that there is still a box of Christmas decoration still sitting in my living room from last year? Yes, we have been too lazy to take it down to the crawl space. LOL. But it seems just like yesterday that I took the decorations down. Now I see why people just leave their lights up (or they did when I was a kid). I used to wonder why some people never took them down. Maybe that's why? LOL. I don't know.
Anyway...here are a couple of tags/ornaments I made the other day. When Angela said she wanted to see some Tags, Glorious Tags (TGT) samples...I quickly jumped on it.
I decided to use my new Everything Christmas set...along with the coordinating wooden tags and incorporate TGT.
The first one I white washed the front and back. Next I embossed one of the TGT images with Zing Red Glitter embossing powder. I kinda went over it with Christmas Red Stickles to "seal" in the embossing powder. Then I glued the pearl trim around the edges. I started out using Glossy Accents but SHOULD HAVE used a hot glue gun. The Glossy Accents absorbed into the edges so I had to seal the edges first then use the glue. Once that dried, I filled in the little gaps with green Stickles. Then I just strung a white organza ribbon in and BOOM!!! The next one I used the snowflakes from the TGT and embossed it with Versamark watermark pad and used my silver/clear embossing powder. Then I stamped the matching stamp frame with green and embossed it with green embossing powder. I roughed it up a bit to make it look vintage country-like. I stamped the sentiment with Blazing Red StazOn. Looped in some Jute twine and TA DA!! These were EASY and fun to make.
Thanks for looking....have a great weekend.

Leafy Poinsettia
Here's another quick and simple card I created using the Stamp of the Week Stamp Leaf{ing} Grateful. I just colored 5 leaves red and 2 leaves green and assembled them into a poinsettia. Add a yellow button for the center and a few sequins for a little shimmer and pop and BOOM!! Another quick and simple Holiday card.
Simple Happy Holidays
HEY!! It's FRIDAY....AGAIN!! Man, the weeks just FLY by!
Anyway...this card I'm going to share with you only took me 8 minutes to make. Can you believe it? 8 minutes!!
Kit used is Gingham Christmas Greetings. I stamped the snowflakes with VersaMark Dazzle and used glitter embossing powder. Added a little green striped washi tape I got from Unity all tied together with three silver sequins. Voila! A clean, simple, yet dazzly card. :)

Country Snowman
Happy FWF Friday!! While putting this cute card together last night...we were getting snow of our own. We ended up with 2". I LOVE the snow. So both the card and the weather outside...the mood was PERFECT!!
Stamps used are Unity's Country Christmas Snowman, and Better Not Pout (Gingerbread Men). Note: Notice the little gingerbread man sticking out of his pocket? That's what gave me the idea to add these to the card :)
Snowflakes are from Impression Obsession. I sprayed the background with October Afternoon's Santa's Hat and Perfect Pearls Mist's Forever Red.

Fall Hang Tags
I had fun with this card. The images on the tags came from Unity's "Fall Festival". The leaves and acorns are from the "Harvest of Memories". I thought of doing my own sentiment to be funny.
The leaves and acorn were colored in using Copics as were the images. I just LOVE my Copic markers. I'll never use anything else :)

This card is another fall card using the week #40 Stamp of the Week "Thanks, Thanks, & Thanks". The stitching around the edges was from "Grandma's Needlepoint".

Heart Finds Home
Happy Friday the 13th....and FWF
Well, it's not so happy here in Fort Collins, CO and the surrounding areas...
Flooding in this beautiful state has gotten so bad. I don't have photos of my own to share because I am staying home.
But for now we are out of flood areas but we do live behind a creek that seems to be holding its own........for now.
Anyway...my project for the Friends with Flair is a tag/card I made for my son whose deployment has been extended due to the Syria issues.
For this project, I started out using one of the awesome tags that I got as a gift from Unity that came with one of my orders. I sponged it with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Faded Jeans ReInker. Then I spritzed the tag with October Afternoon Sprinklers (Santa's Hat) and Perfect Pearls Mist (Perfect Pearls). I also smeared some silver pigment ink in a couple of spots and then used some silver glitter/clear embossing powder over the top of that to give it a little patriotic sparkle. For the stamps I used Unity's Itty Bitty Heart FINDS Home. I inked it using Stamp Markers. Those things are AWESOME!! The ink stays wet for quite some time on the stamp. But for the creases in the white part of the flag I used a grey colored markers. I used a watermark pad around the edges of the heart and my silver glitter/clear embossing powder. The stars got a dab of Star Dust Stickles. Then I inked the edges of the tag and the heart with the Faded Jeans Distressing Ink and put some Red, White, and Blue fibers on. I love how it all turned out.
Thanks for stopping by...have a great weekend!!

Let Love Fly
AAND another Phyllis Harris image that needed to be mounted to a card. Also colored in watercolor technique using Tim Holtz Distress Markers. I just LOVE those markers!! I also added some dimensional butterflies to give the image a "pop".
Big Bear Hugs
I've been doing a lot of Phyllis Harris images this past week and a half. Some are images I've colored...just never finished putting them onto cards. So that was my goal...was getting my colored images onto cards.
This Bear Hugs one is so adorable. I couldn't wait to get it to start coloring it. As with most of my coloring...this is the watercolor technique done with Tim Holtz distress markers.

Dream Big
This is a stamp I have been wanting to ink up for quite some time...and finally I did :)
Big Time Special is just so darn cute. And I had so much fun coloring it in the watercolor technique using Tim Holtz Distress Markers. I LOVE that technique. It's sooo easy. I thought I would give the image some great dimension and add a fence from Impression Obsession with a little bit of Flower Soft below. I just love all the Phyllis Harris images. I still have so many yet to color.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Fall Flowers
This card was created using the stamp from the Insightful Meadows collection by Unity. I LOVE this set. I've used it many times. I stamped the flowers onto card stock using ColorBox Fluid Chalk Olive Pastel. I had an acetate mason jar laying around so I decided to put it to good use. I lightly traced around it with pencil and then used my AWESOME Copic Anniversary Sketch Marker Set to color in the water. I used B000 for the very top of the water, B91 for the main part of the water, and B95 for the depth of the water. Of course the depth is covered up by my die cut leaves Sm. Leaf Set by Impression Obsession. I applied Yellow Flower Soft on the flowers and shaded the colors with sharpie markers. You can see the steps in the pictures below. But to tie everything together I added some orange bakers twine and a button for a little fall charm.
After the glue dries on the flowers I use the different colors and just dot the sharpie on the Flower Soft to add the different colors and the shades and shadows.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you liked my project.

Halloween Greetings
Happy Friday Everyone!!
My week has been BUUUSY! Monday my husband and I decided to become foster parents to a puppy chihuahua named Lily. What a CUTIE she is.
In fact, she is such a sweet dog that we are ALMOST thinking of adopting her, ourselves. Well, I don't need to think about it...but I've been trying to convince hubby to. She has been a wonderful playmate to our Gigi...
Anyway...yesterday was a sore heart day. I had to take Lily to get spayed. So all day long I was worried about her...and now my heart hurts for her for her pain. But I know one person whose heart, I think, has been won over? I don't know...what do you think?
This is hubby trying to comfort Lily as she was in pain but not eating...so I couldn't give her a pain pill. But this morning she is doing better. She ate some food and I was able to give her her medicine. :)
Anyway...here is my card for Friends With Flair. It was my card challenge with my friend Nicole. This time I set the theme challenge and it was to be Halloween using the Spellbinder Labels #1 and Stickles. And here it is:
So thank you for stopping by...and have a GREAT weekend. I'll be busy...lol

Too Beautiful For Earth
FWF
I fell in love with this stamp the second I saw it. But I definitely do not want to have to use it as a sympathy card anymore in the future. My neighbor that lives across the street lost both of his parents within 10 days of each other. In fact, his mother passed away the day of his father's viewing service. So it had been a very tragic week for him. So I immediately started working on a card for them. I just LOVE Phyllis Harris stamps. Her images are amazing.
I included a close up picture so you can see the sparkle in her wings. :)

Be Strong!!
Ok...so some of you may have seen my card I made for my best friends niece. A few weeks ago she collapsed right in front of her dad. She was rushed to the hospital and the next day was diagnosed with a stage 4 cancer. After MANY tests...it was determined that she has a Stage 4 Wilms Tumor that has already affected one of her kidneys and a lung. She has gone through aggressive Chemotherapy and is now at home resting comfortably. She is a strong fighter and seems to be brave through this rapid and intense ordeal.
So I made this card for my friend so that she could give it to her niece. And the report back was that she LOVE IT!
I used the Week #9 SOTW "You Got Heart" and the Itty Bitty "Strong Is Your Only Choice"
I used LOTS of shimmer and bling to make this card sparkle. I mean, what little 11-year-old girl doesn't like bling and sparkle. I LOVE it and I'm forty... well let's just say I LOVE IT! LOL.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great weekend.

You Mean Everything
Happy Friday everyone!!
What a week. Still working through my garage and getting things OUT! But other than that...I'm happy with removing things from my life that I haven't used in a LOOOONG time.
Anyway...here is a card I made using Unity's Where You Are stamp. Sadly...I can't remember which kit the phrase came from. But as soon as I find it...I'll fill it in.
I colored in the image using Tim Holtz's Distress markers in the watercolor technique. I LOVE THOSE MARKERS for Watercoloring.
The flowers and butterfly are Recollections and the ribbon is Offray.
Thanks for looking and have a WONDERFUL weekend.
